Ruoyun Zheng

Ruoyun Zheng is a PhD student in the Social and Comparative Analysis in Education program at the University of Pittsburgh. With a Master's in International Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Ruoyun brings a rich academic background to her current research pursuits. 

During her study at Pitt, Ruoyun served as a Teaching Assistant for multiple research methodology courses, such as Introduction to Research Methodology, Introduction to Quantitative Analysis, Hierarchical Liner Modeling, etc. Ruoyun also worked for the Developmental and Motivation Research Lab at Pitt where she was responsible for tasks related to the execution and analysis of lab functions or social research, including developing materials, managing data collection, data cleaning and input, evaluation, and analysis. These two experiences were complemented by roles such as a Student Assistant in the East Asian Library and as an Intern in the HealthCHILD program, showcasing her commitment to education in multiple contexts.

Ruoyun's research interests span across international and global education, multicultural education, and education policy, with a focus on quantitative analysis, learning motivation, and engagement.
