Recently, Pitt Education Office of the Dean received a Letter of Commendation from the Foreign Service Institute of the State Department regarding the exemplary work of faculty members Drs. Maureen McClure and Loretta Fernandez, alumna Anis Sundusiya (PhD ‘19), and Bayu Aryoyudanta. Led by Dr. McClure, their work within the University of Pittsburgh Diplomacy Lab resulted in actionable recommendations in applied and computational linguistics that will improve language learning among American diplomats.
