Professional Biography
Dr. Yeager is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Institute for Higher Education Management in the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He formerly served in various administrative positions at the University of Pittsburgh, such as University Director of Planning, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Budget; Vice President of Administration; and as Coordinator of the Higher Education Management Program in the Administrative and Policy Studies Department. He has a bachelor’s degree from Clarion University and his masters and doctorate in Higher Education Management from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Yeager has extensive experience in working with the management of international higher education institutions and understanding and how cultural influences affect management practices. He has work experience in Mongolia, Thailand, China as well as a number of African countries.
Research Interests & Current Projects
Dr. Yeager has a strong interest in the design and implementation of management systems in higher education institutions and how management systems facilitate institutional decision-making; of special interest is how institutions establish and implement collaborative activities through partnerships and consortiums. His teaching interests focus on instructional programs addressing institutional strategic planning, quality assurance practices, budgeting and finance, project management, and higher education human resource management. His most recent experience has been working with Rectors from several Indonesian universities.
