Professional Biography
WANG Yuanyuan is a PhD student in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education. She is currently serving as an evaluator for the University of Pittsburgh’s Collaborative for Evaluation and Assessment Capacity. She assists with collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from various research projects, as well as producing evaluation reports informing best practices in various areas, such as math and science education in Southwest Pennsylvania, AmeriCorps, and Amachi.
Prior to joining the Univrsity of Pittsburgh, Wang participated in the OSU Chinese Flagship Program (2005–2007) as a Graduate Student Researcher at Ohio State University. Among her responsibilites, she produced on-line instructional resources with audio recording of the scripts, produced an instruction project showing scripts and video files in conjunction with TV interview programs, completed on-line categorized video instruction episodes based on TV series, and kept daily track of language related news to identify potential opportunities for program promotion and publicity. During 2007, WANG interned at the Ohio Department of Education’s Center for Curriculum and Assessment, gathering and analyzing data and information related to international education issues as they compare to Ohio’s Academic Content Standards and educational practices, as well as preparing records and reports related to high-performing countries in Math, Science, and English language education.
Research Interests & Current ProjectsWANG is currently working as a co-investigator on an IISE research study looking at indigenous education.
