Research Interests & Current Projects
A common thread extending throughout his career as an educator has been an emphasis on citizen apprenticeship education through a global social studies curriculum, and student community partnerships embodied in service-learning programs. Specifically, he was instrumental in re-orienting the high school social studies curriculum of Colegio Menor towards the global skills, knowledge, values and attitudes for the twenty-first century. He has also served as the co–coordinator for the International Baccalaureate’s Creativity Action and Service program at Colegio SEK Quito, Ecuador, and participated as a curriculum developer and practitioner for the Community Action and Reflection program at Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador.
