Xi Wang is IISE’s program coordinator. She is also a fourth-year Ph.D. Student in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education Program, School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. She has served as a Program Coordinator of the Institute for International Studies in Education at the University of Pittsburgh for more than 3 years. She is responsible for IISE daily operational tasks. She oversees the Visiting Scholars program and updates IISE website and social media. She also helps organizing IISE’s symposiums and events.
Before joining in IISE, she worked in the International Relations Department at American Education Foundation and was responsible for the international students and teachers exchange programs between American and China’s high schools. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Curriculum Studies. She has conducted several IRB-approved projects and also participated in many different research studies. Her research interests include: comparative, international, and development education (CIDE); educational technology; private education; and educational reform.
