Otgonjargal Okhidoi is a PhD student of Social and Comparative Analysis in Education at the Department of Administrative and Policy Studies of the School of Education. Okhidoi has wide-ranging experience in working with donor funded or international organizations on education, on improving policy, management and services of education in Mongolia. During her master’s program, she worked for iEARN which connects school children and educators around the world via Internet and other technology tools. Before joinging the University of Pittsburgh, she worked with the Education Channel Television of Mongolia where she was in charge of fund raising and proposal development. She also led a distance education project implemented by the television and produced a documentary on Tsaatan (ethnic minority) people’s life style in the north of the country.
Okhidoi is interested in education management and policy studies, particularly as they pertain to higher educaiton. She is developing a recent research agenda that looks at distance education that utilizes media and other technology tools.
